We just got back from a road trip to small town Georgia. Found an estate sale advertised in Statesboro, so that was our first stop. It was the 3rd day of the sale, so we must have missed a lot, but it was in an old tobacco warehouse, and was still crammed full. Found lots of great stuff, mostly glass, but decided to come back on the last day when things would be marked down.
From there we went through Swainsboro, Portal, Twin City and Kite GA to mention a few. Believe it or not, we found an antique store in Kite owned by Jackie Cooper no less. Then on to Macon for some estate sales on Saturday morning, then back to Statesboro.
Some of the things we found were: Coca Cola sign in glass, Candlewick Banana Bowl, apparently very rare form, old crates, great old medicine cabinet (came with a wasp's nest for free), old chemical bottle, Helmers Railroad jars, which turned out to be for snuff.
